EU court dismisses Philips, Infineon action against cartel fine

LUXEMBOURG, Dec 15 (Reuters) - An EU court on Thursday

dismissed an appeal brought by Philips and Infineon

against a fine imposed on by the European Commission

for operating a cartel to manipulate prices for smart card

chips.
